If you're looking for a movie to watch on your computer with your child, this is the one. This is the only movie I've ever seen that my three boys actually loved before they were even potty-trained. It feels like any minute now they'll be nailing the math problems in it, too! You want to have an experience of watching a children's movie without having things explode or zombies come after you? Then this is where you need to go. You get to watch these adorable little creatures who are just living their lives peacefully and then all of a sudden Arthur comes along and everything changes - for both him and them. It's heart-warming, funny, lighthearted - really just beautifully done. This, to me, is one of those rare movies that both my husband and I love just as much as do the kids. We all agree that it's a keeper. I recently purchased this DVD for my almost four year old daughter. We have seen it maybe 15 times in the last two weeks since we purchased it! She loves sharing this movie with family and friends too. She dances everywhere she goes nowadays to the music from the movie. She watches it over and over on the DVD and on cable. She is such a fan! We even had her school's PTA sign up for the PBS website so that she could watch Arthur free for a month. She had her first lesson of French last night thanks to Arthur and we'll be learning more in subsequent lessons. What an amazing movie and what an amazing program (we had the pleasure of meeting the creators of this movie when they spent time at my daughter's school!). This movie, thanks to its wonderful theme of friendship, diversity, respect for one another, good choices, learning to communicate with others etc., has made such a difference in our family especially in terms of understanding one another more fully. I bought this film after seeing it at family movie night and had to have it. I do occasionally watch it on TV, but the DVD is the best way to see this movie. It's so funny and cute. Some examples: when they all join Arthur in his bath, they only come out one at a time and when they get out it's pouring rain. Their reactions are hilarious! When they start to play cards I stopped watching because their reactions were going to be hysterical if I watched any more. The only thing that hasn't been a huge hit with my family is the end credits song - most kids don't get what that means and think that his friends got him in trouble for not doing anything bad. The song isn't bad, but I guess it's not very catchy. My son couldn't get the words out right because he was laughing so much. I saw this movie when I was visiting my sister and her kids. My siblings and I watched it back in the day when we were young and we loved it then. Now this movie is great because of all the extra stuff on it to learn french! My son has studied french for a few years and has been to France three times and he was still learning new things from this film! This is a great learning tool especially for kids because kids love Arthur's character who is an interesting boy with amazing ideas. cfa1e77820
