What if we could change the way we consume media and represent ourselves? The latest PlayStation Vita handheld gaming console allows for a variety of ways to consume media, such as playing games or watching movies. One feature of the device is its ability to store and read documents in PDF format. However, because the system does not come with a PDF reader preinstalled, you will need to create one yourself. This guide walks through how to get your hands on the free software needed and then using that software to view and print out PDF files from any website on your computer. 1. Go to the Sony homepage and visit their download page for the PS Vita "PlayStation Vita" application. Most likely you will find this at: http://us.playstation.com/software/psvita/2. Click on the "PS Vita" link under Applications or Extensions and then scroll down past the various free programs and demos before finding the PDF Reader app called "PlayStation Document Viewer." Select that link and click on any of the buttons underneath it to install it to your system before clicking on the blue "Download" button (this is very important). 3. Once downloaded, simply run the program via its icon, which is named "Vita Document Viewer. exe." 4. You can now view and print out PDF files from any website on your computer by clicking the "View PDFs" link in the Vita Document Viewer menu. This will bring up a window and allow you to browse through your computer's files until you find what you want to read. Just click the file once it has been located and then press X to activate it when prompted by the app. The printed page will pop up in a separate window (the size of which depends on how large the original was). There is no need for special software or printers; simply click on "Print" in the menu and use your normal printer application to print out onto any sized paper you desire. 5. You can then use the Vita Document Viewer to find more PDF files of the same size and then open them up in order to view them. As a last note, when printing out a PDF file from your computer it may not always print out in full-screen mode, so you might want to change the settings in your printer's configuration here: http://www.danielgail.com/printing/printing-from-your-computer/using-the-printer-settings/ 1. Download "Vita Document Viewer" from Sony's website here: http://us.playstation.com/software/psvita/docviewer/. 2. Run the file and choose to install it. The app will show up on your home screen. 3. Open "Vita Document Viewer" and select the option to view PDF files. This will bring up a list of all of the PDF files that are on your computer's hard drive (for example, documents that you've saved from websites). Select the file that you'd like to open, then press X to start viewing it. 4. You can now use your PS Vita as a portable PDF viewer! 1) Download "PlayStation Vita" from Sony's Website here: http://us.playstation.com/software/psvita/. cfa1e77820
